Election Season

Election season is upon us, and the Canadians have joined the Americans in setting a fall date to head to the polls. There’s been a lot of rumble in Canadian corners about how much more interesting the hype around the American election is than our parallel northern version. So why is that? Is it because we’re attuned to agendas set by the American media? Is it because a two party race seems easier to understand than a multiple party one? Well, whatever the reason, it’s incumbent upon each of us who have reached the age of majority to engage in the electoral process. Democracy is dependent upon each person exercising their right to vote. And we’ve got a guy on the ‘hill, Major Grant Effer, who has developed a great election primer to help us explore the landscape of this Canadian election.
