ETHICAL STIR STIX AND FREE COFFEE

Use Less Plastic

I shopped at Ten Thousand Villages on the weekend and was delighted to find a new twist on coffee stir sticks.  There, on the coffee serving table next to the anti trafficking chocolate, was a cupful of uncooked flat linguini sticks for stirring.  What a great idea!  No plastic used and no plastic waste either as you can simply crunch up the pasta when you have finished stirring your Fair Trade coffee.  How smart are our Village people - you should shop there!

Worth noting:  On Earth Day, April 22, Starbucks will pour free coffee into your own travel mug...and speaking of Fair Trade and Responsible Practices, check out Starbucks business promises - they are 'doing good'.

For a good time check out what CFOT has to say about the whole coffee issue, AND take their poll!

Free starbucks coffee! Is there a limit on how big your travel mug can be? Let's hope not.

Hey, and when you collect enough sticks, there's dinner! Java pasta anyone?

Free coffee is good but Starbucks doesn't have roll up the rim.
