Original visioning of the Ethics Centre
 

"Ultimately the Ethics Centre will be an internationally recognized ethics resource, providing cogent and reasonable expression of a Christian and Salvationist perspective on the moral dimension of contemporary issues� The Centre will seek from its beginning to reflect the internationalism of The Salvation Army and the boundlessness of the Christian gospel."

July 1994
Ethics Centre opened, housed at CBBC, as an independent entity reporting to the Chief Secretary

 

Dr Jim Read appointed as the Executive Director

First meeting of the Advisory Council, motion made to become Board of Directors

International Theology & Ethics Symposium (co-sponsored with International Doctrine Council)

North American Institute for Indigenous Theological Studies (NAIITS) founded -Ethics Centre, a founding sponsor; workshop on aboriginal leadership development
